Had a situation where the post was directly on top of a beam and no way to connect a post to the side of the beam below the deck, and so it had to sit on top of the decking. This is exactly what I was looking for. It held the post very rigid with the bolts through into the beam and up into the post. I am a little leery of the powder coat over stainless, in that one scratch could start a rust spot on the steel like it did on my roof racks. I now have aluminum and stainless roof racks, the only guarantee against rust. But the product works perfect and looks just fine even without the skirt. The skirt probably would have helped to eliminate the chance of scratches. It's definitely the way to go. |
