| Difficult to line up? (1/5) | Sep 22, 2011 | Anonymous | ||

Maybe I wasn't using correctly. The alignment wings were not long enough to actually line up the hole saw. Even when I looked down from the drill point of view, there were gaps. I believe a redesign is in order. I would develop a guide that focuses on the pilot hole drilled (not the actual "hole saw" part). I ended up using diagonal lines, corner to corner. <Editor's Note:</strong> Thanks for you comments. Post size can vary marginally and so the hole saw will still be in line with one diagonal but may be off slightly along the second diagonal where the center would be. A quick visual where the drill bit is will confirm this and adjust accordingly. But our goal is to address every issue so thanks and we are working on a molded part rather than sheet metal and we are looking closely at how to error proof this for all situations. Keep the comments coming. We thank you and we are listening! |

| Center Guide (3/5) | Jun 1, 2011 | Keith Ganzenmuller | Salina Ka US | |

Of all the products I purchased recently this one was the least useful. Although it arrived exactly as ordered and performed as designed, I think it would be a little better if the tabs that face outward were tall enough to reach the hole saw before you start cutting, otherwise it is hard to judge if the hole saw is exactly centered, in the end I just used two diagonal lines to mark the center. I think with a little tweaking, maybe another inch on the tabs would make it perfect ** Editor comments: Great suggestion and something I have been working on for the future production runs. I am going to increase the height of two of the three tabs - can't increase all three given the way we make it. But that should do the trick! |
