| 4x4 Post Anchor (5/5) | May 17, 2010 | Rick | Pembroke MA US | |
|
Had a situation where the post was directly on top of a beam and no way to connect a post to the side of the beam below the deck, and so it had to sit on top of the decking. This is exactly what I was looking for. It held the post very rigid with the bolts through into the beam and up into the post. I am a little leery of the powder coat over stainless, in that one scratch could start a rust spot on the steel like it did on my roof racks. I now have aluminum and stainless roof racks, the only guarantee against rust. But the product works perfect and looks just fine even without the skirt. The skirt probably would have helped to eliminate the chance of scratches. It's definitely the way to go. |

| 8 anchors in 1 afternoon (5/5) | Apr 22, 2011 | art williams | phila pa US | |
| I used these anchors for installing a new railing on my deck. The deck had numerous angles, making it a necessity to surface mount the posts because the angled beams were all in the way. I needed to surface mount eight posts and did it in a snap with the titan post anchors. All it took was one afternoon. Thanks. | ||||
| Almost Perfect (5/5) | Aug 8, 2011 | David Plummer | Albuquerque NM US | |

This product solved a problem for me where I could not find any other solution. I now have a safe and attractive deck railing. That said, I would do one thing differently and I would like to see Titan make one change. As for me, I'd be sure to get the drilling guide for the hole saw. Between drilling the pilot hole and pounding base into the post, I ended up with a few non-perpendicular installations. That required me to spend a lot of time shimming the bases as I set them on the decking. As for the design change, the lag screws would be much more functional with a standard hex head instead of an S3 head. It's pretty easy to strip an S3 and I had a few of those too. Overall, I'm very pleased and highly recommend. Editor's Comment: Thanks for the S3 head suggestion. I will be looking into this and appreciate your thoughts. |

| Easy to install (5/5) | Oct 22, 2011 | Rodney Rosenthal | Manvel Te US | |
| We used these anchors for an upstairs balcony. I used bolts and nuts to fasten the post to the deck instead of the lag screws as I was able to tighten these from underneath the balcony. The anchors were easy to install inside the posts. I would recommend this to anyone for installation this way. | ||||
| Great Idea; Great Potential (5/5) | Jul 18, 2011 | Anonymous | Phila PA | |
| This product is a great idea. I had to retrofit my roof-top deck and this was an easy way to do it. I would suggest using hex-head lag screws to go top-down into the deck though at the square-head screws will shred without the proper amount of torque, i.e. if your drill is not allowing you to drill down directly from above with sufficient force. A potential for this product would be a type of bolt with an expanding backing - like an industrial strength dry-wall hanger - that would help with retro-fits where it is near impossible to add blocking underneath the deck. | ||||
| Great Product (5/5) | Aug 24, 2011 | Larry brown | Tulsa Ok US | |
| I had to build a support for shades over upstairs bedroom windows using 8 foot 4x4 and had to find a way to mount them to my wood deck. These solved the problem. I know that I am probably exceeding the the design limits but they are not used to support a hand rail for the deck and are very secure in my application. Thanks Titan for solving my problem. | ||||
| Great product but buy your own black anchoring bolts (4/5) | Dec 12, 2011 | Dane Davenport | Upland IN US | |
| The 4x4 post anchor is great! I bolted in to concrete and they are VERY sturdy! However, the black anchoring bolts are a waste because the bolt head tightens with a tiny little square fixture that strips with out very much pressure. | ||||
| Post Anchor (5/5) | Jun 29, 2010 | Mike Iacobino | Budd Lake Ne US | |
| I have a finished screen room below my deck, being able to mount right to the deck surface was great. Trex skirt covers the entire anchor. | ||||
| Worked well on my pea gravel patio (5/5) | Feb 9, 2012 | Matt Martin | Spring Te | |
| I have tried a variety of products for attaching a 4" fence to a patio. The Titan anchor is the best so far. My gate is more solid and the anchors hold tight. The black anchor screws do strip pretty easily, so be prepared. The installation of the anchor was easier than I expected. A+++ | ||||
